Zambouris S.A. has impressively upgraded its Large Format printing sector by adding to its printing fleet the latest technology equipment, the flagship of Durst’s P5 series, the Hybrid Durst P5 350 HS for printing on rolls as well as on rigid sheets, which is already installed at its headquarters in Kalochori, Thessaloniki.

Zambouris S.A. with founder Mr. Alexandros Zambouris started in 1974 as a sole proprietorship in Kalochori, Thessaloniki and became a public limited company in 2001. Today, after 50 years of operation, the company operates in Kalochori in a privately owned area of ​​23,000 sq.m. with an additional branch in Schimatari, Viotia close to Athens, on a privately owned plot of 21,000 sq.m. with 80 specialized professionals in the industry.

Since 2018, the work of continuing the company was undertaken by the successors of Alexandros Zambouris, Anastasios Zambouris and Theodora Zambouris, opening new paths for Zambouris S.A.

Recently, the company invested and developed new facilities, creating a third branch in order to meet the increased demand and the multiple needs of growing both in Greece and in the foreign countries in which the company operates.

Especially with rolls the machine works without operator supervision. Our option to combine the printer with Jumbo Rollers up to 3.5m print width (and Dual Roll – 2 x 1.625m) that accept rolls weighing up to 1,000kg allows us to deliver high volume printing in short times.”

The Durst P5 350 HS high-performance hybrid printing system for roll and sheet media with a print width of up to 3.5 m is a leading UV printing system for the digital printing market. With speeds of up to 710 m2/h and the ability to quickly change materials with multiple roll and multiple parallel sheets, the P5 350 HS makes the printing process

The print resolution reaches 1200 dpi and printheads with a variable drop size of 7 picoliters deliver excellent print quality. In addition to the basic cmyk colors it can also handle the light colors Light Cyan, Light Magenta (without any loss of speed), as well as White and Varnish (for special multi-layer printing applications such as “Day & Night”, “In & Out” and up to 12 layers of Hapt-Printing).

The equipment is supported by a software solution designed by Durst: Durst Workflow Print Plus and the Durst Analytics total production monitoring tool. With these solutions, the printer becomes a production unit from day one. Durst Workflow Print Plus was developed specifically for digital graphics printers to achieve maximum productivity performance, improving productivity, quality and process efficiency by speeding up the prepress and print production process.
