DURST NEWS EDP AWARD WINNERS P5 TEX iSUB & P5 350 HS

The EDP Awards are the printing industry’s leading technology awards in Europe and are an open competition for all products announced and launched in the period of one year. In two categories, Durst was able to win in 2022 for its flagships, the P5 TEX iSUB and P5 350 HS.

For the jury, the P5 TEX iSUB is the best roll-to-roll textile printing system with an integrated inline finishing unit. The abbreviation iSUB stands for “inline sublimation”, suitable for direct printing, which enables to eliminate the process of calendering, resulting in a significant increase in quality and efficiency for the user. However, the printing system can also be used for transfer paper printing. The P5 TEX iSUB is a real game changer in the growing soft signage market.

The high-performance P5 350 HS hybrid printing system for roll and board media with a printing width of up to 3.5 m (11.48 ft) was able to assert itself asthe best UV printing system for the corrugated packaging market.With a speed of up to 710 sqm/h (7,620 sq.ft./h) and the ability to change materials quickly with multi-roll and multi-track options, the P5 350 HS makes the printing process much more efficient. Of course, not only corrugated but many other materials can be produced on the press, and further increase productivity with the integrated Durst Workflow and Durst Analytics software.

It is not without reason that the Durst P5 series is one of the most successful printing systems on the market.

Accu-Label Shares its Success Story with First 20˝ Durst Tau RSCi 510mm in North America

(Rochester, NY – November 2020) – Accu-Label, a family owned label manufacturer based in Fort Wayne, IN, is preparing for further growth with the addition of the Durst Tau RSCi inkjet label printer. The Tau RSCi is the latest offering from Durst’s range of 1200 dpi RSC printers with print speeds up to 328ft/min. Accu-Label has opted for the 20” width version to maximize their productivity.

Roll Flex Label Company installs Durst Tau RSC-E; the company hopes the installation will help to grow business. The decision was led by Margaret Zink-Boyle, CEO of Roll Flex Label Company.

Roll Flex Label Company, a third-generation family-owned company located in New Jersey, is a custom label producer. Established in 1983, Roll Flex has, according to the company, ‘held customer service, quality, competitive pricing, and quick turnaround time as their highest priority and promise to their customers.’

With a specialty in safety and warning, food and beverage, product, barcode, and coverup labels, Roll Flex has continued to grow and expand its product offerings. ‘We started with a Primera digital press, which was fine in the beginning, but as our digital business increased, we needed something faster with better quality,’ Margaret Zink-Boyle stated. By partnering with Durst, the company added 1200dpi UV inkjet technology to its production portfolio.

The Durst Tau RSC-E operates at speeds of up to 170ft/min (upgradeable to 262ft/min) with 1200dpi native resolution and available with up to 8 colors. Durst RSC high opacity white ink delivers a smooth white which is ideal for printing on metallic and clear materials. According ot the company, ‘best in class quality and productivity, combined with highest uptime, result in a competitive package with lowest total cost of ownership.’ Equipped with Durst Workflow Label software solution and the monitoring tool Durst Analytics, this printer is a production unit from day one. Η Μαρούσα μας που δεν θα είναι πια κοντά μας, στάθηκε πάντοτε με ανυπόκριτο και πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον συμπαραστάτης και στήριγμα σε όλους μας και σε χαρές και σε λύπες.
Διακρίθηκε, εκτός από την καλοσύνη της, την θετική της σκέψη και το χιούμορ της, για την αποτελεσματικότητά της σε ό,τι και εάν εμπλεκόταν, δίνοντάς μας πολλές φορές με ένα δικό της ανεπανάληπτο και άμεσο τρόπο λύσεις που εμείς οι υπόλοιποι δυσκολευόμαστε να βρούμε.
Πάλεψε γενναία με τον καρκίνο, αντιμετωπίζοντας θαρραλέα και με απίστευτη αξιοπρέπεια το άδικο χτύπημα της μοίρας ως μαχήτρια.

Our Maroussa, who will no longer be with us, has always been an uncompromising and genuine supporter and support for all of us, both in joys and sorrows.
She was distinguished, apart from her kindness, her positive thinking and her humor, for her effectiveness in whatever she was involved in, giving us many times in her own inimitable and direct way solutions that the rest of us find difficult to find.
She fought bravely with cancer, bravely and with incredible dignity facing the unfair blow of fate as a fighter.

It is hard to fill the void that our Maroussa leaves in all of us.

The Dutch customer API-4-BRANDS is the first customer in Europe, who invested in the new Durst dye-sublimation printer P5 TEX iSUB. Raymond De Wild, owner API-4-BRANDS, highlights in the interview the smooth installation process with the machine. Only a few days after the installation production jobs run already without problems. Thanks to the integrated inline fixation iSUB, the P5 TEX iSUB gives a great saving in time. A job can now be completed in one hour (compared to 4 hours when using an external heat press) and delivered very quickly.

Το πιεστήριο έχει πλάτος εκτύπωσης 330 χιλιοστά, εξοπλισμένο με 7 χρώματα, με τις επιλογές πορτοκαλί, μωβ και λευκού, σε λειτουργία πλήρους ταχύτητας.
Με την εγγενή του ανάλυση 1200 x 1200 dpi σε συνδυασμό με το μικρότερο μέγεθος σταγόνας των 2pl και με τα πρόσφατα ανεπτυγμένα, υψηλής περιεκτικότητας σε χρωστικές ουσίες μελάνια Durst Tau RSC, το πιεστήριο παράγει εξαιρετική ποιότητα εκτύπωσης.
Τα πιεστήρια Durst RSC είναι εξοπλισμένα με το προηγμένο λογισμικό Durst Workflow Label και το λογισμικό Εκτύπωσης Μεταβλητών Δεδομένων, ώστε οι πελάτες να μπορούν να προετοιμάζουν γρήγορα τις εργασίες εκτύπωσης για την απαιτητική αγορά ετικετών.

Τα νέα μελάνια Durst RSC UV Inks έχουν πιστοποιηθεί από την Greenguard με τα πιστοποιητικά UL Greenguard και UL Greenguard Gold.

Το πιεστήριο Durst Tau 330 RSC E λειτουργεί ως αυτόνομος εκτυπωτής ή ως υβριδική λύση με την προσθήκη συμβατικών επιλογών φινιρίσματος. Αυτό παρέχει στον χρήστη απεριόριστη ευελιξία όσον αφορά τα υλικά και ένα ευρύ φάσμα εφαρμογών.
